Should you hire a certified inspector? I bought my first RV as a newbie without an inspector and I’m thankful that I got lucky! I now know how many expensive and devastating issues could have been hidden, just waiting to wreck my next vacation or bucket-list road trip with my wife. Today, even buyers of brand new units are scheduling pre-purchase inspections due to the explosion in RV popularity and pressured manufacturing schedules.

REMEMBER THE GOLDEN RULE – HE WHO HAS THE GOLD, MAKES THE RULE
So long as you have the gold the dealership is motivated to complete the repairs on your new RV in a timely manner. Once you pay for the RV you might have to get in line with all the other new RV owners, waiting on the dealership to “get around to your RV.” Why not just get all the repairs taken care of BEFORE you hit the road?

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM A CERTIFIEDRV INSPECTION?
- A thorough inspection of ALL the systems in the RV
- Between 80 and 100 pictures of all parts of the RV including 360 degree pics of the underside, the roof, and the interior
- A comprehensive report available online which includes access to the 360 degree pics so you can look at all parts of your new RV
- The report includes categories that range from “Life Safety Issues” to any damage or items that need repair to those items that are expensive to repair, such as tires.
- A typical inspection takes at least 10 hours or more of my time, though not all of that time is spent in or on the RV
